About Us
The Midlands Chapter of the Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. is an organization of mothers who now have, or have had, children serving in the military. We are a non-profit (501[c]3) service organization supporting each other and our children while promoting patriotism.
The purposes of the corporation shall be:

- to perpetuate the Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc., and the memory of all the men and women who have served our country as members of the Armed Forces; the further object of this organization shall be patriotic, educational, social, and for service;
- to maintain true allegiance to the Government of the United States; to educate our members and others not to divulge military, naval, or other Government information;
- to assist in veterans' ceremonies, to attend patriotic rallies and meetings; to foster true democracy; to care for the unsupported mothers who gave their sons to the service of the Nation;
- to aid in bringing about recognition of the need of permanent civilian defense for each community and to ever be alert against invasion of un-American activities;
- to uphold the American institutions of freedom, justice, and equal rights, and to defend the United States from all enemies.
Our Mission
The mission of the Midlands Chapter of Blue Star Mother’s to raise awareness and support for our active military, South Carolina’s veterans and their families. We are a 100% volunteer organization that stands ready to answer the call, assist and support those who have served our country.
The Palmetto Patriots’ Ball honors those who have served. It is a celebration of South Carolina’s patriotism as well as a fund raiser to help financially support our chapter’s mission and that of the many organizations to help our active and retired military face their many challenges.

Please help the Blue Star Mothers to send a care package to a deployed service member who is lonely or homesick. Feed homeless veterans a special home cooked meal. Say, “We’ve got this” to a military family who cannot afford Christmas for the kids.
